CPD Policy of SAICA
The South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) adopted a new outcome based CPD policy. Outcome based CPD requires SAICA members and associates to take responsibility for their own professional development, by following these steps:
Professional profiling (in terms of SAICA's pre-defined professional pathways).
Self-assessment of competence in key professional competencies (as per SAICA's 2020 post- qualification competency framework).
Benchmarking of self-assessment results in terms of SAICA's minimum required levels of proficiency in each competency attached to their professional pathway.
Construction of a balanced CPD "plan of action" for each calendar year based on professional development needs identified in the self-assessment.
Reflection about the contribution of each CPD learning activity to their professional development needs, as well as pervasively for the calendar year.
Population of an annual fully-compliant CPD Reflective Plan containing evidence of the above, for purposes of recordkeeping and monitoring (if selected by SAICA).

Infiniti is a CPD Management Solution that caters for a reflective plan. This solution is a learning assessment and planning tool that helps to identify, undertake and record relevant CPD learning activities and automatically produces a reflective plan.
Compulsory Ethics
As ethics is the cornerstone of any professional, SAICA has issued a circular which sets out the compulsory CPD requirements as having to reflect on ones ethics competence in relation to the learning outcomes of the ethical competencies (personal, business and professional).
CPD Catch Up Packages
We have carefully selected the content for the CPD catch up packages. The CPD catch up packages not only cover the 3 competency types, but also gives you the flexibility to select webinars that address your unique developmental areas as you have access to over 60 hours of CPD content.
Subscription Plans
Our subscription plans give you access to content that addresses the three main groups of competencies, i.e.: Professional Values and Attitudes, Enabling and Future Competencies and Technical Competencies.
